Dotemu and Auroch Digital have unveiled Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War!, a first-person shooter that takes you into the world of the cult classic franchise. Join General Johnny Rico and Major Samantha “Sammy” Dietz, in a United Citizen Federation state-sponsored game that takes the fight to the bugs.
Through an original and unique story, players will see the return of the legend that is General Johnny Rico himself in full, high-quality FMV, with Casper Van Dien reprising his role from the 1997 movie. Watch the new trailer below…
Set many years after the events of the original film, players will see through the eyes of Major Dietz as she sets out with her comrades to defend humanity against the Arachnid threat. Equipped with a unique Mobile Infantry arsenal capable of burning, dismembering and crippling the bugs, Sammy will help ensure that humanity wins the fight.
As Sammy, players will lead their squads of troopers through a solo campaign that spans across epic battlefields filled with missions, secrets and bugs. Players will have the opportunity to wield over 30 different weapons, from the classic Morita rifle to mechanical bipeds, and even tactical nuclear weapons.
