What did George Lucas think of Star Wars: The Last Jedi?

December 13, 2017 by Matt Rodgers

Whatever your feelings about the Star Wars prequels, George Lucas must be revered for shaping the galaxy far, far away, and while he wasn’t too keen on the “retro tone” of The Force Awakens, it appears that the godfather of this galaxy was altogether more complimentary about Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

His rep, Connie Wethington told The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision that The Last Jedi was “beautifully made” and that in speaking with director Rian Johnson after viewing, was complimentary about the film.

You can find out whether Flickering Myth agrees with Lucas by reading our review of The Last Jedi here.
