Heads will roll in trailer for horror-comedy Scared to Death starring Lin Shaye

January 18, 2026 by Gary Collinson

Following its festival run last year, Atlas Distribution has shared a poster and trailer for the horror-comedy Scared to Death.

Directed by Paul Boyd, the film follows a group of filmmakers who attend a séance at an abandoned children’s orphanage as research for a horror movie they’re developing, only to get more than they bargain for when a sinister force is awoken.

The cast includes Lin Shaye, Bill Moseley, Olivier Paris, Victoria Konefal, B.J.Minor, Jade Chynoweth, Kurt Deimer, Lucinda Jenney, Rae Dawn Chong, Matt Carmody, Joline Towers, Alicia Tomasko, and Mair Flores. Watch the trailer below…

Jasper, a young filmmaker stuck as a production assistant, sees his chance to direct by proposing filming behind-the-scenes of a real séance in an old haunted house as research for their horror movie Death House. The site was once a children’s shelter, shut down after five mysterious deaths in 1942. When the séance begins, the cast and crew are trapped inside and tormented by the spirits of the children–and something far worse.

Scared to Death is set for release on March 13th.
