Hot Toys unveils Young Barry sixth scale figure from The Flash

October 10, 2023 by Amie Cranswick

Sideshow has released promotional images for Hot Toys’ sixth scale deluxe Young Barry figure which is based on the likeness of Ezra Miller as the 2013 alternate universe teenage Barry in the DC solo outing The Flash.

The collectible is available to pre-order now, priced at $330; take a look at the promotional images below and be sure to check out Hot Toys’ sixth scale figure for DCEU Barry Allen, Batman and Supergirl…

The time-travelling Barry Allen meets with his parents in an alternate 2013 and discovers teenage Young Barry living in this period is yet to experience the events that will transform him into The Flash. Full of excitement and wonder at the arrival of his older self, visiting in 2022, Young Barry is eager to discover whether he is able to gain the very same powers and become a superhero in his own right.

The highly accurate figure captured The Flash / Young Barry in sixth scale figure form features two newly developed cowled heads, one in standard form and one that depicts his battle damage look, with both heads coming with separate rolling eyeballs system. The figure comes with interchangeable lower faces for more expressions. His costume was recreated and painted to capture the details of his makeshift costume, down to the appearance of a sprayed logo on his chest and caution tapes around waist. The figure also includes a headset and a specially designed themed figure base with an LED light-up function.

The Deluxe Version exclusively includes a Young Barry head sculpt for alternate styling. Also, battle damaged hand and armors with fragments attached to recreate the look as seen in the epic battle.

Worlds collide in “The Flash” when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?

The Flash is directed by Andy Muschietti (It) and stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash alongside Kiersey Clemons (Iris West), Ben Affleck (Batman), Michael Keaton (Batman), Sasha Calle (Supergirl), Michael Shannon (General Zod), Antje Traue (Faora-Ul), Kiersey Clemons (Iris West), Ron Livingston (Henry Allen), and Maribel Verdu (Nora Allen).
