Ahead of its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival next month, a trailer has landed online for the Indonesian supernatural horror comedy Ghost in the Cell.
Written and directed by Joko Anwar, the film sees the inmates and guards of a notorious prison force to work together to survive a supernatural entity that is brutally murdering those with the darkest auras.
The cast includes Abimana Aryasatya, Lukman Sardi, Bront Palarae, Aming, Rio Dewanto, Morgan Oey and Tora Sudiro. Watch the trailer below…
As per Variety , Ghost in the Cell “follows inmates whose survival instincts are tested when a mysterious new prisoner arrives, accompanied by a supernatural entity that targets those with the darkest aura. As deaths mount, the incarcerated population discovers that collective action may be their only path to survival.”
Ghost in the Cell is set to premiere at the Berlin Film Festival in February.
