Jake Gyllenhaal debuts ripped new look for Road House remake

December 22, 2023 by EJ Moreno

Cue that classic Family Guy meme and prepare for some more Road House. This time, Jake Gyllenhaal leads the actioner from director Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow, The Bourne Identity).

The new film will see Gyllenhaal following in the footsteps of Patrick Swayze as he takes on the role of a former UFC fighter who takes a job as a cooler at a rough roadside bar in the Florida Keys, updating the original’s location of Missouri.

In addition to Gyllenhaal, the film’s cast includes Billy Magnussen, Daniela Melchior, Lukas Gage, Hannah Love Lanier, Travis Van Winkle, J. D. Pardo, B.K. Cannon, Darren Barnet, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Arturo Castro, Dominique Columbus, Beau Knapp, and Bob Menery, as well as UFC star Conor McGregor in his acting debut.

As you can see in the above photo, Jake Gyllenhaal to more than ready to kick some ass in what looks to be a new signature role for the actor. He looks even more ripped than he did the last time he played a boxer in the 2015 film, Southpaw.
