UPDATE: The Jim Henson Company working on a Labyrinth sequel

October 10, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Tucked away in a Variety article discussing Billy Crystal’s casting in Which Witch? is the news that The Jim Henson Company is working on a sequel to the 1986 classic Labyrinth starring David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly.

No further details on the Labyrinth sequel are available at this point, although the article does go on to state that the company are also working on feature adaptations on Emmett Otter and Fraggle Rock, along with a sequel to 1982’s The Dark Crystal.

UPDATE: According to Entertainment Weekly’s sources, Variety is mistaken and “there are currently no plans to reboot, revive, or make a sequel to Labyrinth.”
