John Krasinski and Emily Blunt head to A Quiet Place

March 17, 2017 by Amie Cranswick

Husband and wife duo of John Krasinski and Emily Blunt have signed on to star in the Paramount and Platinum Dunes project A Quiet Place, which Krasinski will also write and direct.

Deadline reports that the story for A Quiet Place is being kept tightly under wraps, but is based on a spec script from Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, which Krasinski will rewrite. It will mark Krasinski’s third feature directorial outing after 2009’s Brief Interviews with Hideous Men and last year’s The Hollars, and the first time that Krasinski and Blunt have appeared together on screen.

Krasinski will next be seen in Kathryn Bigelow’s as-yet-untitled Detroit riots project, and also takes on the title role in Amazon’s upcoming Jack Ryan TV series. Blunt meanwhile is currently in production on Mary Poppins Returns, which is set for release in Christmas 2018.
