Justice League movie “too complicated for the average moviegoer”; major villain revealed?

January 21, 2015 by admin

Warning – could be spoilers below…

It’s been a busy week of rumours and speculation about the DC Cinematic Universe, mostly around Suicide Squad which is set for release next year. But now we have a new rumour about the culmination of this project, Justice League.

According to website Techtimes (who are not to be overly trusted it must be said), the script for Justice League is causing some concern among the Warner Bros. offices as it’s “too complicated for the average moviegoer”. The website claims that fans of the comic books will understand the lore, but those who are going to see an Avengers-like movie will leave stumped.

Of course, they do mention in the article that these are “rumours circulating the Internet”, which is a nice way of covering their arse.

The site also claims that the main villain of the movie will be Brainiac saying, “Apparently, this person is Vril Dox, who is the original identity of Brainiac in The New 52 comics. It makes sense for Brainiac to show up because the rumor claims the movie, currently, is codenamed Justice League: Brainiac’s Saga, and it will be the first time we get to see Brainiac on the big screen.”

What do we think?

Justice League Part One is set for release on November 17th, 2017 with Justice League Part Two following on June 14th, 2019 and will star Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Ezra Miller as The Flash.
