Lady Death returns for beat ’em up Lady Death: Demonicron

May 3, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Developer Art of Play and Coffin Comics have announced that they have successfully raised enough funds via Kickstarter to bring Lady Death from the pages of the comics to PC and consoles in Lady Death: Demonicron.

This canonical beat ’em up set in the Lady Death universe coincides with the 30th anniversary of Lady Death’s first appearance and you can watch the new trailer below for a sneak peek of what’s to come…

In Lady Death Demonicron, the good lady herself just wants a bit of peace with which to mourn her friend but when hordes of demonic enemies swarm the cemetery she is thrown between the realms and must hunt down those who would have her killed.

Players will be able to make use of Lady Death’s lethal sword skills and cast powerful, destructive magic, as well as upgrading her equipment.  Throughout the game, players will have the chance to earn new swords and brutal finishing moves that can be used to slaughter her demonic foes.

Ready to help at a moment’s notice is the loyal haunted swordsman, Ravenheart. Together they will slay vicious demonic enemies through 15 levels of beautifully, hand-drawn environments.

Ash Nicholls, Director at Art of Play, says: “We’re excited to handcraft the next chapter of Lady Death in video game form with the creator of Lady Death Brian Pulido and his incredible team!”

“It’s time for Lady Death to conquer the video game space with the leadership of Art of Play,” says Lady Death’s creator Brian Pulido. “Demonicron is true to Lady Death’s savage spirit. I can’t wait for players around the world to get their hands on it.”

Look out for more news on Lady Death: Demonicron coming soon.
