Latest DIRT 5 gameplay trailer takes us to Italy

October 8, 2020 by Andrew Newton

A new gameplay trailer released today for DIRT 5 provides a first look at the Rally Cross class with more Ultra Cross action, this time in Italy.  Viewers can watch official FIA World Rallycross vehicles drift and weave around the ancient pillars of the Ponti di Vara bridges below…

This November, DIRT 5 will take players around the world where they will be able to race on more than 70 unique routes through 10 different locations, including New York, Rio de Janeiro and Norway. Players will be able to race over a variety of different surfaces, from snow and ice to gravel using different categories of vehicles, such as rally cars, buggies, muscle cars and more.

The game’s story driven career mode will see players earn sponsorships and rewards while for those who prefer to compete or co-operate with others, the game features local split screen for up to four players offline and race playlists for up to 12 players online.

Players will also be able to show their creative flair with the franchise’s most thorough livery editor allowing limitless customisation. A detailed Photo Mode will also allow racers to capture their most exciting jumps and moves.

“Italy has proved to be an incredible setting for racing. Carving out routes within a quarry, an abandoned marble mine, and underneath the stunning Ponti di Vara bridges challenged the team, but players will love the experience.  Having FIA World Rallycross cars in DIRT 5 was a must, not just for their speed and agility, but their stylish aesthetic, and a perfect fit for a game like ours.” said Robert Karp, DIRT 5 Development Director.

DIRT 5 arrives on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on 6th November with Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 arriving soon after.  A Google Stadia version will launch in early 2021.
