Lesley Manville chases her dreams in the trailer for Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris

April 28, 2022 by Matt Rodgers

Hoping to corner the market for counter-programming this summer, as well as surely winning Best Film Title of the Year, Universal and Focus Features have just released the trailer for period comedy Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris. The film follows Lesley Manville’s widowed housekeeper Ada Harris, who decides to get up off her hands and knees and chase her dreams of owning a Christian Dior couture evening gown.

Directed by Anthony Fabian (Louder Than Words), who adapted the 1958 Paul Gallico novel of the same name alongside Carroll Cartwright (Dungeons & Dragons), Keith Thompson (The Sapphires), and Olivia Hetreed (Girl With a Pearl Earring), the film also stars Isabelle Huppert, Jason Isaacs, Lambert Wilson, Alba Baptista, Lucas Bravo and Rose Williams. Watch the trailer here…
