LeVar Burton confirms Geordi La Forge return for Star Trek: Picard season 2

April 20, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Patrick Stewart’s Jean-Luc Picard wasn’t the only Star Trek: The Next Generation alum to appear in CBS All Access’ Star Trek: Picard, with Brent Spiner (Data), Jonathan Frakes (Riker), Marina Sirtis (Troi) and even Jonathan Del Arco (Hugh) all popping up for guest appearances in the show.

Well, it seems we can expect some more fan-pleasing cameos in the second season of Picard, as LeVar Burton has seemingly confirmed that he’ll be back as Geordi La Forge during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

“How do I say this without getting in trouble…” said Burton. “I think that is reasonable to assume that those people are still a part of Picard”s life and – sure, what the hell – yeah, absolutely! You’ll see us all, probably not all at the same time but, you know, never say never.”

Stewart has already publicly invited one of his former co-stars to appear in season two in Whoopi Goldberg, and based on Burton’s comments, Geordi and Guinan won’t be the only familiar faces we see alongside Picard when the show returns in 2021.
