Magical party battler Abrakadaboom now on Steam Early Access

April 19, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Argonauts Studios has announced the release of their party multiplayer battle game Abrakadaboom onto Steam Early Access.  If you fancy some frenzied local multiplayer battles against friends or AI then this is one to check out.  A new trailer can be seen below for a closer look at the action.

The world of Abrakadaboom is one that is overflowing with magic and where everyone is a wizard.  These wizards discovered they could make a perfectly good fight club using magical, yet unstable orbs, and so Abrakadaboom was born.

This battle game will see players face off against 3 of their friends, bots or a mixture of both through a variety of arenas.  The magic in the world will affect event the environment allowing players to use these elemental magic, including:

  • Master the pure Arcana magic in the crystal swamps by the light of the full moon.
  • Earth magic can be used to bury your enemies.
  • Use Wind magic on floating islands that glide high above the clouds.
  • Burn enemies with Fire magic on an erupting volcano while being surrounded by melting lava.
  • Drown enemies with the Water magic at the bottom of the sea.

Wizards will be able to fight in free for all or in teams through 4 game modes: Sudden Death (provides only one life), Extra Lifes (Respawns allowed), Witch Hunt (Steal the wand out of your opponents hand), and Keep the Runes (Get more points the longer you carry the rune).

“As a two-man team, launching the game in Early Access is important to us. We are really looking forward to gamers’ feedback and making the game even better in the coming months!” Laurent, sorcerer at Argonauts Studios.

Abrakadaboom is available to buy now on Steam with a launch week discount of 10%.
