Maya Hawke responds to rumours regarding Kill Bill Vol. 3

November 4, 2021 by Liam Waddington

Since the release of Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, director Quentin Tarantino has teased that his tenth and possibly final film could be the third instalment in the Kill Bill series.

Now, in an interview with The Guardian, Stranger Things star Maya Hawke has addressed the rumours surrounding Kill Bill Vol. 3 and the fan-casting of her playing a grown-up B.B. Kiddo – the daughter of The Bride (who is portrayed by her real-life mother Uma Thurman).

“There are always rumors about that. Quentin is on his own darn schedule. He’ll do what he wants when he damn well wants. But I’ve known him my whole life and if he ever wanted to work with me again, of course, I would love to,” Hawke said.

Although Hawke has confirmed that there are currently no plans for a third instalment, she would be interested in joining the beloved franchise and reuniting with Tarantino after her short appearance in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood.

If Kill Bill Vol. 3 was to happen, Vivica A. Fox, who played Vernita Green a.k.a. Copperhead, has previously endorsed Zendaya to take over the role of her daughter from original star Ambrosia Kelly, to which Zendaya has responded saying she is “honored” and “flattered” that Fox would consider her.

Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Kill Bill Vol. 2, which were released in 2003 and 2004 respectively, follows Uma Thurman as the Bride, who starts a campaign of revenge against the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad and their leader Bill (David Carradine), who tried to kill her and her unborn child.

Would you like to see Maya Hawke take on the role of a grown-up B.B. if Tarantino developed the third instalment in the Kill Bill franchise? Let us know on Facebook or Twitter @flickeringmyth…
