During one of the Green Lantern Corps’ darkest hours, young artist Kyle Rayner was chosen to be the universe’s lone Green Lantern by a Guardian of the Universe named Ganthet. The torchbearer for all the Green Lantern Corps would become in the future, Kyle Rayner went on to master all seven colors of the emotional spectrum, the only Lantern to ever truly accomplish such a feat.

This aquatic Lantern originates from Aeros, a water world inhabited by various forms of fish life. Able to breathe only through his gills, Naut Ke Loi must at all times wear a helmet filled with water. If this Green Lantern is ever without water for more than 5 minutes, he will perish. Though his build would suggest a smaller mass, Naut Ke Loi’s cold-blooded fish-like structure makes him almost all muscle. His scaly skin is slimy to the touch and toxic to many species. This rapid swimmer is able to utilize his speed in space as well as in water.

Medphyll is one of the first members recruited by the Guardians of the Universe and comes from the plant world, J586. A sentient plant with a very unique biology, he gains nourishment through photosynthesis and life from his Mind Stalks that lie atop his head. These Mind Stalks are the only vital organs on his body. Medphyll’s world is tropical leaving him vulnerable on colder planets or in space. This Corps member also possesses the special ability to transfer his thought-essence to any nearby plant life making him an ideal choice for reconnaissance missions.
