Michelle Yeoh’s past catches up to her in trailer for Netflix action-comedy series The Brothers Sun

December 7, 2023 by Matt Rodgers

Netflix has released the trailer for their action comedy series The Brothers Sun, which is headlined by Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh as Mama Sun, a Taiwanese woman who escapes her criminal past, only to have it follow her to a new life in L.A.

Joining Yeoh in the eight episode series are Justin Chien (The Resort), Sam Song Li (Take the Night), Highdee Kuan (This Is Us), Joon Lee, Madison Hu (The Boogeyman) Alice Hewkin (Lucky Man), Maite Garcia (Bosch: Legacy), Jenny Yang (Last Man Standing), Jon Xue Zhang (Eternals), and Rodney To (Parks and Recreation). Created by Brad Falchuk and Byron Wu, you can check out the trailer below…

When the head of a powerful Taiwanese triad is shot by a mysterious assassin, his eldest son, Charles (Justin Chien) heads to Los Angeles to protect his mother, Eileen (Michelle Yeoh), and his naive younger brother, Bruce (Sam Song Li) — who’s been completely sheltered from the truth of his family until now. But as Taipei’s deadliest societies and a new rising faction go head-to-head for dominance — Charles and Bruce must figure out what brotherhood and family truly means before someone takes them out.

The Brothers Sun is streaming only on Netflix January 4th, 2024.
