MultiVersus gets a new gameplay trailer and Open Beta launch date

Warner Bros. Games has announced that the Open Beta for its free-to-play Smash Bros-style multiplayer brawler MultiVersus is set to launch on PlayStation, Xbox and PC on July 26th, with Early Access from July 19th for anyone who participated in the MultiVersus Closed Alpha. 

Open Beta and Early Access will include eight maps, such as the Batcave, Tree Fort, and Scooby’s Haunted Mansion, along with 16 characters in Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn (DC); Shaggy and Velma (Scooby-Doo); Bugs Bunny and Tasmanian Devil a.k.a. Taz (Looney Tunes); Arya Stark (Game of Thrones); Tom & Jerry (Tom and Jerry); Jake the Dog and Finn the Human (Adventure Time); Steven Universe and Garnet (Steven Universe); The Iron Giant (The Iron Giant); and an original character Reindog.

In addition, players will also be able to experience the game’s various modes including 2 vs. 2 team-based cooperative mode, 1 vs. 1 matches, 4-player free-for-all, co-op vs. A.I. matches, and local play matches supporting up to four competitors.

Featuring in the voice cast of MultiVersus are Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series) as Batman, George Newbern (Justice League vs. the Fatal Five) as Superman, Abby Trott (Carmen Sandiego) as Wonder Woman, Tara Strong (Batman: Arkham) as Harley Quinn, Matthew Lillard (Scooby-Doo) as Shaggy, Eric Bauza (Looney Tunes Cartoons) as Bugs Bunny and Tom and Jerry, Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) as Arya Stark, John DiMaggio (Adventure Time) as Jake the Dog, Jeremy Shada (Adventure Time) as Finn the Human, Daniel DiVenere (Spirit Riding Free) as Steven Universe, Estelle (Steven Universe) as Garnet and Andrew Frankel (Jellystone) as Reindog.
