Netflix wants to reunite Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston for Murder Mystery sequel

October 13, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Having delivered one of Netflix’s most successful launches for its original content, it will come as little surprise to hear that the streaming service is looking to reunite Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston for another Murder Mystery.

According to THR, Netflix is currently in negotiations with screenwriter James Vanderbilt to return to script a sequel to the film, which saw Just Go With It co-stars Sandler and Aniston playing a married couple who find themselves caught up in a murder plot during a vacation in Europe.

As yet, there’s no deal in place for Sandler and Aniston to return, although it is expected that they will reprise their roles for the sequel.

Although Netflix usually keeps its viewership figures under wraps, the streamer did announce that almost 31 million accounts viewed Murder Mystery in its first weekend – a record for the subscription service.
