Donnelly will star as Rose Kennedy, the matriarch of the family, while Robinson will be their oldest son Joe Kennedy Jr. and Melnick as Jack Kennedy, the future President of the United States.

Miles will portray Eddie Moore, longtime aide to Joe Kennedy Sr., Peckham as Rosemary Kennedy, Joe and Rose’s eldest daughter, Lightfoot-Leon as Kick Kennedy, JFK and RFK’s sister, Doman as JFK’s best friend Lem Billings and Poots as Gloria Swanson.

The series is based on Fredrik Logevall’s book JFK: Coming of Age in the American Century, 1917-1956. It was created by Sam Shaw who serves as showrunner and will be directed by Thomas Vinterberg.
