New Avatar: The Last Airbender game in development from Paramount Game Studios and Saber Interactive

October 5, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Fans of the Avatar: The Last Airbender series will be delighted with the announcement from Paramount Game Studios and Saber Interactive that they will soon be able to step into the franchise’s expansive world in a new AAA video game set in the Avatar Legends universe.  This new action RPG will enable fans on PC and consoles to take part in adventures in the world first introduced by Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra.

Developed in collaboration with Avatar Studios, this upcoming Avatar game will take players to the franchise’s familiar world but thousands of years before the adventures of Aang and his companions. Players will be able to take on the role of an unknown Avatar and experience an immersive world that will allow them to master all four elements, take part in exciting battles, find companions to join them on the adventure and tackle the challenges that come with being the keeper of balance in the world.

“We know loyal fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender have been eager for more stories that bring them into the universe of the show, and through gaming, we’re able to expand the world- building and allow fans to experience the new content in a completely immersive way,” said Doug Rosen, SVP, Games and Emerging Media at Paramount. “Saber Interactive has a proven track record in bringing IP-based games to life, and we are excited to co-fund this AAA title alongside them and let fans experience this world first-hand.”

Look out for more news on this exciting new Avatar game in the future.
