New Friday the 13th movie still doesn’t have a script

January 15, 2015 by admin

It’s already been pushed back once, but the new Paramount and Platinum Dunes produced Friday the 13th movie still has no script in place, with its November 13th 2015 release date ever looming.

“Just working on the script still,” Producer Andrew Form told Collider. “[We’re] hoping to make that movie this year and, I’m gonna confirm that Jason is in the movie.”

The fact that Jason was mentioned is a response to several news stories last year that suggested the hockey mask wearing psycho would not be featuring in the new film, although it was confirmed a few months later. There are also reports that the movie could feature the return of his mother, Pamela Voorhees.

This new Friday the 13th will be the thirteenth movie in the long-running slasher franchise that began back in 1980 and is set to be directed by David Brucker (The Signal). It is set for release on November 13th 2015, which it can still make if it starts shooting in the summer.

Are you worried about the state of the Friday the 13th franchise? Should the push forward, or wait until they can get the script right?
