New poster for Wicked featuring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo

May 14, 2024 by Amie Cranswick

With a new trailer set to arrive this Wednesday, Universal Pictures has followed up the behind-the-scenes featurette for Wicked by sharing a poster for the upcoming musical adaptation of the Broadway show featuring Ariana Grande’s Glinda and Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba; take a look here…

After two decades as one of the most beloved and enduring musicals on the stage, Wicked makes its long-awaited journey to the big screen as a spectacular, generation-defining cinematic event this holiday season.

Wicked, the untold story of the witches of Oz, stars Emmy, Grammy and Tony winning powerhouse Cynthia Erivo (Harriet, Broadway’s The Color Purple) as Elphaba, a young woman, misunderstood because of her unusual green skin, who has yet to discover her true power, and Grammy-winning, multi-platinum recording artist and global superstar Ariana Grande as Glinda, a popular young woman, gilded by privilege and ambition, who has yet to discover her true heart.

Directed by Jon M. Chu, Wicked‘s magical cast includes features Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, alongside Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode, and Jeff Goldblum as the legendary Wizard of Oz.

Wicked Part One is set to fly into cinemas on November 27th 2024, while Wicked Part Two is scheduled to arrive on November 26th, 2025.
