Nine Noir Lives to deliver feline noir shenanigans this September

August 8, 2022 by Andrew Newton

It’s International Cat Day and the two person team at Silvernode Games have released a brand new trailer for their upcoming comedy-noir point and click adventure Nine Noir Lives.  This latest trailer reveals more on the unique gameplay mechanic of licking anyone and everyone.  Watch this new trailer below….

Taking inspiration from classic noir films, Shakespeare and games such as Grim Fandango and Broken Sword, Nine Noir Lives puts players in the role of feline private detective Cuddles Nutterbutter as he explores the mystery behind a murder that has upset the two biggest families in town, the Montemeeuws and the Catulets.  It’s up to Cuddles and his assistant Tabby Marshmallow to solve it by completing puzzles, exploring beautifully drawn environments and interacting with dozens of fully-voiced characters which Cuddles will probably want to lick at some point.

Nine Noir Lives features:

  • A comedy noir storyline set in the city of Meow Meow Furrington.  This intriguing city is filled to the brim with pussycats as well as the odd sentient computer.
  • A ‘point and lick’ adventure where everything (almost) is determined by using Cuddle’s tongue.
  • Experience the city from the perspectives of both Cuddles and Tabby Marshmallow, two very different cats with very different perspectives.
  • Fully-voiced dialogue performed by an all-star cast that includes  Lucas Gilbertson (Megaman X), Carol-Anne Day (A Hat in Time) and SungWon Cho (Borderlands 3, God of War Ragnarok).

Pussycat lovers will be able to Cuddles Nutterbutter solve the crime of the century on PC via Steam and GOG on 7th September.
