With less than a month to go until Peacemaker returns for its second season, creator James Gunn unveiled a new trailer for his DC series at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday.
The trailer sees Chris (John Cena) becoming the target of a grieving and angry Rick Flag Sr. (Frank Grillo), who will stop at nothing to seek revenge for the death of his son, forcing Peacemaker to use his dimensional portal to build a life in another world. Season two sees John Cena’s Christopher Smith joined in the new DCU by fellow Peacemaker co-stars Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase/Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, Steve Agee as John Economos, Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith/White Dragon, and Nhut Le as Judomaster.
The cast also includes Superman stars Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner and Sean Gunn as Maxwell Lord – along with new additions Tim Meadows (SNL) as Langston Fleury, Sol Rodriguez (Star Trek: Picard) as Sasha Bordeaux, and David Denman (The Office) in an undisclosed role.
Peacemaker season premiere on HBO Max on August 21st.
