Psychological thriller Krzyk: Losing Control unveils trailer and poster

November 3, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Freestyle Digital Media has shared a trailer for writer-director Ewa Wikiel’s German psychological mystery thriller Krzyk: Losing Control ahead of its North American VOD release later this month.

Starring Gina Henkel, Anton Weil, Pawel Delag and Wiktoria Gorodeckaja, the film follows Lena, a bacteriologist who witnesses a woman die tragically in a burning car. Obsessed with discovering who the deceased was, she begins to intrude in her life, beginning an affair with her widower and attempting to take on the role of a mother to their son, until she realises that her obsession is causing her to lose a grip on her own reality. Check out the trailer below…

KRZYK – LOSING CONTROL tells the story of a young woman’s life unraveling after a fatal crash reawakens her buried grief. Bacteriologist Lena drives past a burning car and hears the scream of a dying woman. She does not tell her boyfriend how much the incident disturbs her, just as she hasn’t spoken about her ongoing anguish. Instead, she throws herself into her work and begins to obsessively intrude into the life of the deceased, beginning an affair with the widower and gradually taking on the role of mother to his son. Her persistent insomnia causes her to lose the boundary between dreams and reality. Eventually, realizing she needs help, she accepts the guidance of a whisperer and begins to find her own way of coping with her loss.

Krzyk: Losing Control is set for release on November 21st.
