Variety is reporting that Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation star Rebecca Ferguson is in talks to join Michael Fassbender (Macbeth) in Working Title’s upcoming adaptation of Jo Nesbo’s crime novel The Snowman.
The Snowman is being directed by Thomas Alfredson (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), with Martin Scorsese (The Wolf of Wall Street) attached as executive producer alongside author Nesbo. The project is being viewed by Working Title as a potential franchise launcher based around Detective Harry Hole, who will be played by Fassbender.
Following her role in Rogue Nation, Ferguson has found herself in demand; she recently signed on to appear in The Girl on the Train, pulling out of contention for a role in Fox’s X-Men spinoff Gambit in the process, and has also been linked to Captain Marvel.
