Renegades sets January UK release from 101 Films

101 Films is set to bring Shogun Films’ action thriller Renegades to the UK with a January 2023 release date.

Directed by Daniel Zirilli and scripted by FM’s own Tom Jolliffe, Renegades features a cat that includes Nick Moran (Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels), Lee Majors (The Fall Guy), Danny Trejo (Machete), Louis Mandylor (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), Patsy Kensit (Lethal Weapon 2), Ian Ogilvy (We Still Kill the Old Way), Paul Barber (The Full Monty), Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott (Nemesis), Michael Pare (Streets of Fire), Stephanie Beacham (Dynasty), Michael Brandon (Dempsey & Makepeace) the late Tommy ‘Tiny’ Lister (No Holds Barred).

Renegades is the culmination of my career as a film producer so far,” said producer Jonathan Sothcott. “Imagine if Guy Ritchie had directed a film produced by Euan Lloyd (The Wild Geese, Who Dares Wins) and that might give you a taste of this high octane, darkly witty action revenge thriller. This is a proper, unapologetically old fashioned revenge movie with an all-star cast that boasts great action sequences, endlessly quotable dialogue and a killer theme song. I am confident audiences will love the Renegades as much as I do.”

Renegades sees Carver, a courageous former green beret (Majors), murdered by a vicious international drug gang (led by Mandylor’s fearsome Goram), prompting his old special forces comrades Peck, Woody and Harris (Ogilvy, Murray, Barber) to seek revenge, dispensing their own brand of old school justice on the mean streets of London, as well as protecting Carver’s daughter Judy (Patsy Kensit). Aided by the enigmatic Sanchez (Trejo), they must stay one step ahead of determined Scotland Yard Detective Moore (Sothcott) and stop Goram’s gang from overrunning the city.

Renegades will release in the UK on January 30th 2023.
