Resident Evil Survival Unit to launch next week

November 12, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Capcom and Aniplex have announced that their upcoming mobile strategy game, Resident Evil Survival Unit, will launch on Google Play and the App Store on 18th November. Based in a horrifying alternate Resident Evil universe, this strategy will bring fan-favourite characters, an original storyline and all the hordes of bio-engineered nightmares you could wish for.

Resident Evil Survival Unit challenges players to survive through an original story set in a parallel Resident Evil universe, where an escapee from a strange hospital causes all manner of troubles for this alternate universe. Throughout this tactical strategy, players will get to meet many of the franchise’s fan-favourite characters, such as Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine and many more.

Using a blending of base-building, character-driven gameplay and tactical combat, players will build up and manage a mansion base where their survivors will be located. This location is where players will make preparations for missions, decide what team and tactics they’ll use and make trades with the iconic Weapons Merchant. Planning ahead and making backup plans will be essential to surviving real-time defence battles against the nightmares that only Resident Evil brings.

Resident Evil Survival Unit is available for pre-order/ pre-registration now on the App Store and Google Play, with those who do receiving a special bonus pack containing useful items to support early gameplay and character development.
