Rollerskating shooter Rollerdrome now available on Xbox Game Pass

November 30, 2023 by Andrew Newton

Private Division and developer Roll7’s imaginative third-person rollerskating shooter Rollerdrome is now available on Xbox Series X/S and Windows PC, as well as Game Pass.  Players can take part in intense arena combat while pulling insane stunts on skates.  Watch the new launch trailer below….

Rollerdrome takes players to 2030 where they will compete in the Rollerdrome tournament as Kara Hassan.  Players will need to tackle a series of battles against deadly House Players.  It is up to players to combine shooting targets with stylish tricks that will impress the baying crowd and lead to Kara’s freedom.

This third-person shooter is presented in a comic-book inspired, retro-futuristic art style that pays homage to the extreme action sports games of old. It also reinforces the intense combat by using a strong, bold colour palette and character outlines that will draw gamers’ attention.

“Looking back to the conception of the game, we wanted Rollerdrome to be fast, fluid, and exciting – we were shown an early gameplay prototype by the Creative Director Paul Rabbitte, and seeing the potential, we quickly assembled an incredibly talented team to turn what was a promising concept into a visceral and stylish game. I’m now super excited that we are able to share it, once more, with a whole new group of Xbox and PC players.” said Tom Hegarty, Founder and Studio Head at Roll7.

Rollerdrome is available now on Windows PC and Xbox Series X/S and is also available on Xbox Game Pass.
