Ron Perlman: “I don’t want to do Hellboy 3”

August 4, 2015 by Luke Owen

For someone who has been championing the Internet to rise up and ask for a third Hellboy movie, it seems as though Ron Perlman doesn’t actually want to make Hellboy 3 – because the make-up is too intense.

“Let me make the record clear,” he told /Film. “I don’t want to do Hellboy 3. It’s a pain in the ass to put that makeup on and take it off. But I feel we’re obligated to finish the story. That’s it. End of conversation.”

“We’re in the business of moving mountains, those of us who are used to working in mainstream film and television.” he continues, explaining why he’s been pushing for the movie. “Don’t come to me with details and problems. Just tell me how we move the mountain.”

“I guess the only cutoff point is when they actually close the box,” joking that him being in a wheelchair would be the only reason they wouldn’t do the movie. “If you don’t see me get up and go, ‘Hang on, I was kidding,’ then I’m still ready.”
