Rumoured plot details for Sony’s Spider-Spinoff Silver & Black

August 11, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Although Sony’s female-led Spider-Man spinoff Silver & Black still seems to be some way away, we’ve already heard rumours about a host of villains and supporting characters set to join Silver Sable and The Black Cat in the film, and now The Hashtag Show is claiming to have some details on our two leads and their roles in the plot.

According to the site, Silver Sable is “unquestionably” the film’s protagonist and will  be out for vengeance against the villain Mendel Stromm, who has been experimenting on the people of her home country of Symkaria. Apparently, Black Cat will have stolen an “enhancement” of some sort from Stromm, who sends Tarantula and Scorpion to track her down. However, Sable – who works as a bounty hunter for the U.S. Department of Justice – is also on her trail, and hopes that Felicia will ultimately lead her to Stromm.

The site also goes on to report that Sony is looking to cast actresses in their early to mid-twenties in order to tie them down to multi-film deals (it’s already been rumoured that the movie will lead in to an all-female Avengers-style SpiderVerse team-up).

What do you make of these rumours? Are you looking forward to the film, and who would you like to see cast as Silver Sable and Black Cat? Let us know in the comments below…
