IFC Films has shared a trailer for Azrael, the upcoming horror from director E.L. Katz.
Samara Weaving stars as the titular Azrael, a young woman who attempts to escape a devout cult of mute zealots, but after she is recaptured and faces being sacrificed by its brutal leaders, Azrael will stop at nothing to ensure her own survival.
Along with Samara Weaving, the cast includes Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Vic Carmen Sonne, Katariina Unt, and Sebastian Bull Sarning. Watch the trailer below…
In a world in which no one speaks, a mysterious, devout community hunts down a young woman named Azrael (Samara Weaving) who has escaped their imprisonment. Recaptured by its ruthless leaders, she is to be sacrificed to pacify an evil which resides deep within the surrounding wilderness – but Azrael will stop at nothing to ensure her own freedom and survival.
Azrael arrives in cinemas on September 27th.
