Sandra Bullock to reunite with Netflix for Mark Millar adaptation Reborn

January 25, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Following the success of the post-apocalyptic thriller Bird Box, Sandra Bullock is set to reteam with streaming service Netflix, this time for an adaptation of the Millarworld comic book series Reborn.

Based upon the comic book by Mark Millar and Greg Capullo, Reborn follows “Bonnie Black, an 80-year-old woman who dies and finds herself resurrected in Adystria, a land filled with magical monsters and dragons. She’s once again in the prime of her life, and finds all of her loved ones in Adystria, except for her late husband. In order to find him, she must become a hero.”

The film will be directed by The LEGO Batman Movie helmer Chris McKay, who currently has several projects on his slate including adaptations of Jonny Quest and Dungeons & Dragons, along with the long-gestating DCEU solo movie Nightwing. Bullock is attached to produce, and may also star as the lead.
