Sintopia gets a release date, trailer and massive new demo

June 4, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Team17 Digital and Piraknights Games have announced that Sintopia, the God building sim filled with humour and sinful actions, will launch into Early Access on Steam on 4th September.  Celebrating this is a new trailer, which can be seen below. There’s also been the arrival of a massive new demo on Steam featuring all the content currently created by the developers.

This new and improved demo will give players a bit of ‘work experience’ as they get to grips with the red hot bureaucracy tape of Hell management. Besides hanging around in Hell, there’s plenty to see and do in the Overworld as well. With this new demo, players can enjoy the new spell – Magmine. This is a throwable fireball that explodes on contact and spreads fire, however if it doesn’t make contact with a character or structure it will become a landmine and wait for the next poor person to come along. Keyboard shortcuts can be rebound with current keys displayed in settings.

Players will also notice that Fear and Motivation technologies in the Liber Administratum have been merged making it less expensive to acquire them all. There’s also Magical Resistance visual feedback, giving players a better chance of noticing what’s happening.

There’s been a lot of quality-of-life improvements, including:

  • Dedicated alerts for raids.
  • All Specialist Punishment buildings are now tier 1 unlocks in the Liber Administratum.
  • A new UI info panel in the orbaital view showing various stats.
  • Force Push becomes more powerful the longer the line is drawn.
  • The addition of main and secondary map objectives, allowing players to see where the chaos is occurring.
  • Saints apparition occurs on resurrection instead of by random.
  • Permanent highlight on interactive objects.

Sintopia is a mix of builder and god game that takes players to a world where the silly chickpea people make their mark on the world by committing a whole host of sins. Players will punish the dead souls, keep their expenses receipts and generate a profit to make their Hell empire a successful one.

Look out for Sintopia arriving on Steam Early Access on 4th September. In the meantime, add the game to your wishlist and give the new demo a try.
