During last night’s world premiere of Suicide Squad, David Ayer took to the stage to introduce the latest chapter of the DC Extended Universe, during which he echoed a fan’s thoughts on DC’s big superhero rivals by declaring “Fuck Marvel!”. Check out the video here…

After coming in for a barrage of angry criticism in response to his comment, Ayer then took to social media to apologise for the remark, stating that he got caught up in the moment.
