The coolest cars from the Fast and Furious franchise

March 8, 2022 by admin

Flashy, fancy, and furiously fast cars: the Fast and Furious franchise has provided some of the coolest cars in movie pop culture. Let’s take a look at some of the coolest cars from the Furious franchise.

Dodge Charger

Having been designed by Dom and his father in the first film, the Dodge Charger is notably one of the more well-known cars from the franchise and boasts a 900 horsepower. In the film’s ending, the car propped up on its two rear wheels which became somewhat of an icon and tradition for the future films.

In Fast and Furious 8 came the Dodge ‘Ice Charger‘ in which the classic Dodger received an upgrade with a V8 mid engine and a huge upgrade that gave it the ability to be driven on ice.

Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R

Brian’s Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R is one of the most recognised vehicles in the Fast and Furious franchise; in 2 Fast 2 Furious, he uses the Skyline to compete in a street race which he wins successfully. This car connects the first two films, and so plays an important role in Brian’s character development.

If you’re after a car that will have you feeling fast and furious on the roads, consider entering an online car raffle such as Dream Car Giveaways and you might get lucky.

1967 Ford Mustang Fastback – customised

Despite the film having divided opinion among die-hard Fast & Furious fans, we simply can’t refuse to admit how spectacular many of the cars were in the Tokyo Drift film. Although the film franchise is highly associated with cars, Tokyo Drift is really the only feature which has a huge focus on car culture and customization.

One of the most notable cars from this film is the custom automobile which uses the body and frame of a 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback combined with the engine of a wrecked Nissan Silvia S15.

Veilside Mazda RX-7 Fortune

Another super cool car from the Tokyo Drift movie, the orange RX-7 was not your standard Mazda RX-7 car. As an impressive vehicle, it was customized to look dazzling in its profound black and orange livery, while hosting a supercharged engine. The motor is capable of going at high speeds and made for a rather unfortunate film ending.

By the time film production finished in 2002, the 13B-REW was the world’s first mass-produced sequential twin-turbocharger system, raising output to 276 hp.

Honda S2000

Suki, who is played by Devon Aoki in 2 Fast 2 Furious, rides a Honda S2000 in a race organised by Ludacris. In her glamorous, flashy pink car, she makes an immediate entrance into the franchise – it’s possibly one of the most flaunting cars to appear in the franchise’s opening races. In the movie, she successfully completes a perilous bridge jump at the conclusion of the race and lands only to discover that half of her car’s front end had ripped off. The S2000 was first presented in 1999 for the 2000 model year, with the AP1 chassis designation.

1963 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport

In Fast Five, Dom and Brian stole the 1963 Corvette whilst participating in a train heist. The Grand Sport was introduced in 1962 as a response to the Shelby Cobra and was designed initially for GT racing. A 502 GM performance crate engine, a Borg Warner Super T-10 gearbox, and C3 Corvette suspension were all elements of what made this motor so cool.
