The Crow remake moves from Relativity

November 18, 2016 by Gary Collinson

The saga of The Crow remake continues to roll on, with THR reporting that Davis Films, Highland Film Group and Electric Shadow have now acquired the rights to The Crow Reborn from Relativity Media.

The Crow Reborn has spent several years in development at Relativity, with numerous false starts, and was slated to go into production early in the new year, with Corin Hardy (The Hallow) directing and Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) starring in the lead role as Eric Draven. It’s unclear at this point whether both director and star remain attached, although Bloody Disgusting claims that Hardy is still on board and an official announcement will be made soon.

“I am thrilled to collaborate with this talented team and return the Crow franchise to its roots for a new generation of audiences to enjoy,” said Edward R. Pressman, who produced the original 1994 Brandon Lee film, and is attached to the remake.

Should the remake ever get off the ground, it’s said that it will present a more faithful adaptation of the original comic book from creator James O’Barr.
