The HELL: City Builder of the Dead coming soon to Steam Early Access

March 26, 2025 by Andrew Newton

METROPOLICE Studio has announced that their dark, soul-management city-building sim’, The HELL: City Builder of the Dead, will be coming to Steam early access soon.  Players will be able to transform the underworld into a realm ruled by sin and experience events inspired by real historical disasters.  Those who are successful will be able to unravel the mystery behind Lucifer’s downfall.

The HELL: City Builder of the Dead allows players to take a realm that is a shadow of it’s former self and turn it into an infernal hell city where they will be able to balance the limited resources of lost souls.  There will be many dark challenges inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins for players to conquer, as well as colossal titans that guard the underworld’s secrets.

Every mission that players attempt will test their strategic skills and every journey through the underworld will teach something new that will allow a past mistake to become a future strength.

Each episode of The HELL: City Builder of the Dead is based on a real-world calamity.  Events such as the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923, the 1883 Krakatoa Eruption and the Aztec Witch Trials from 1540, will provide different challenges that are connected to the Seven Deadly Sins.

The HELL: City Builder of the Dead features:

  • Manage souls from real-world catastrophes that span centuries in an immersive story.
  • Unique soul processing mechanics to convert souls to sinners, workers and warriors.
  • Manage resources such as Blood, Waste, Cries and Fears to expand the city.
  • A power and technology system unlocks upgrades, powers and the abilities of the Seven Deadly Sins.
  • Missions where players have to defeat a powerful Titan in an epic battle.
  • 7 different maps and locations, providing unique experiences and challenges.
  • Decisions influence the ability to steer the city through the cycles of chaos and renewal.
  • Multiple camera angles.

Look out for The HELL: City Builder of the Dead arriving on Steam Early Access soon.
