Trailer for Mongolian horror Aberrance will give you the chills

September 15, 2023 by Amie Cranswick

Freestyle Digital media has released a trailer for Aberrance, the upcoming horror from writer-director Baatar Batsukh, which marks the first Mongolian film to secure a U.S. theatrical release.

The film follows couple Erkhmee (Erkhembayar Ganbat) and Selenge (Selenge Chadraabal) as they arrive at an old cabin deep in the Mongolian wilds, but foreboding neighbours and dark unseen forces soon disturb their quiet retreat.  Watch the trailer below…

In ABERRANCE, when city dwellers Erkhmee and Selenge arrive at an old cabin deep in the Mongolian wilds, a sense of foreboding settles over the couple. Erkhmee’ seemingly keen desire to provide a safe and nurturing space for his artistic wife is at odds with the violent actions and mannerisms their quizzical neighbor observes. As the neighbor digs deeper for the reason behind this aberrant behavior, only more questions and trouble arise.

Aberrance arrives in cinemas on October 6th.
