Warhammer 40,000: Darktide coming to PC and Xbox Series X/S this September

April 1, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Fatshark has announced they will be releasing their 4 player co-op game, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, on PC and Xbox Series X/S on 13th September.  This follow up to the award-winning Vermintide series leaves the Warhammer world far behind and takes the action to the grimy and war-torn 41st millennium where once again the Chaos gods are causing corruption and violence wherever they go.  Watch the announcement trailer below for a glimpse at the action.

In Warhammer 40,000: Darktide the depths of the hive city of Tertium have been tainted by Chaos.  A heretical cult known as the Admonition is spreading the evils of Chaos and guiding the city’s inhabitants from the righteous light of the Emperor with the sole aim of seizing control of the entire planet and laying waste to its inhabitants.  Only the players and the Inquisition will be able to stop this trickle of Chaos before it becomes a flood.

As with Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s Vermintide predecessors, up to 4 players will be able to choose their class and use a range of ranged and close-quarters weaponry to rid the hive city of the Chaos cultist corruption.  From lasguns to chainswords, there’s plenty of weaponry to master in order to secure victory for the God-Emperor.

In the bleak 41st millennium players will be able to choose their class of character, customise their skillset and loadout to their preferred playstyle.  As the game progresses players will be able to upgrade their gear and customise their character’s appearance.

The dystopian world of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will be calling players to battle on Xbox Series X/S and PC on 13th September.
