Wolverine 3 aiming for R-rating after Deadpool success

February 16, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Well, it looks like 20th Century Fox is set to fully embrace the R-rating following the box office success of Deadpool; writer-producer Simon Kinberg has already suggested that the X-Force movie could be targeting an R-rating, and now the studio has confirmed that Hugh Jackman’s final outing as Logan in Wolverine 3 will also be following suit. Here’s a pamphlet handed out by Fox at Toy Fair, which reveals the anticipated MPAA rating for the film…

Wolverine 3 will reunite Jackman with The Wolverine director James Mangold, while Patrick Stewart will also reprise the role of Professor X. The film is set for release on March 3rd 2017, and is heavily rumoured to take inspiration from the Old Man Logan storyline.
