Coinciding with its launch this week, Marvel Entertainment has unveiled a trailer for its brand new Savage Avengers series from writer Gerry Duggan and artist Mike Deodato, which brings together a dangerous new team of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in Venom, Wolverine, The Punisher, Elektra, Doctor Voodoo and Conan the Barbarian.
“We will be bringing in some of the biggest, baddest heroes and villains in the Marvel Universe to go rumbling through this book,” said Duggan, with Marvel’s Executive Editor and SVP Tom Brevoort adding: “These are all characters that don’t bother with a lot of talking or a lot of discussion. It’s all slashing and hacking and stabbing and shooting and pummeling and destroying…it’s a very visceral comic.”
