It’s got a release date of June 23rd 2017, it’s got a star in Gal Gadot, director in Michelle MacLaren (Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad) and screenwriter in Jason Fuchs (Ice Age: Continental Drift, Pan), but it seems there’s one thing the Wonder Woman movie doesn’t have – a green light.
Speaking to Vulture, MacLaren has stated that the Amazon Princess’ solo debut is currently yet to have the official green light from the studio, nor a script (which may go some way to explaining that rumour about six writers being brought in to work on six individual screenplays). However, she wasn’t giving anything else away:
“I really, really, really can’t talk about this. I just picture a drone coming in over the hills and crashing through the glass and flying over here and putting duct tape over my mouth, you know?”
So, if Wonder Woman hasn’t got the green light, you have to wonder how concrete Warner’s plans are for the DC Cinematic Universe, which it apparently has mapped out through to 2020…
