With the Holiday Ops 2026 festivities well underway, the Holiday Ops Ambassador, Benedict Cumberbatch, is preparing a very special surprise tank as a gift for all commanders. From 19th December to 1st January, players can log into World of Tanks and click the festive gift box in their Garage to claim the brand-new Tier IX French medium tank, the Fantôme. The Fantôme is a French medium tank that is unique among French vehicles, thanks to its standout feature – the addition of automatic hydropneumatic suspension. This advanced system will give players a boost to gun depression and elevation angles, which will be a huge advantage on uneven terrain. This new system will bring a whole new level of strategy to commanders by allowing them to exploit terrain that has previously been unsuitable for most other vehicles. The Fantôme also features an autoloading gun to speed up the rate of fire.
As it’s an early Christmas present, the Fantôme arrives covered in the cheerful “Wrapped to Perfection” 2D style, with a vibrant new colour that will add a bit of festive cheer into the winter Garage.
This new tank is only one of the features that players have to look forward to during the Holiday Ops 2026 season. There are two of the game’s biggest ever rewards, both with game changing unlocks:
- The free Tech Tree Claim allows every commander to instantly unlock an entire Tech Tree branch with a single click.
- The legendary Update 2.0 Gift, the largest reward bundle ever released makes a welcome return and is available to anyone who missed it the first time.
