World of Tanks Modern Armor launching new Warriors event

May 8, 2026 by Andrew Newton

An all-new event arrives for World of Tanks Modern Armor on 12th May that will have players battling in support of one of history’s most formidable commanders. Until 1st June, the new Warriors event will be a community-driven tournament where every match counts with new tanks, new commanders and more. Watch the new trailer for this event below…

The Warriors event will have tankers carry the banner of one of four epic champions: Georg von Frundsburg, Meng Tian, Marcus Claudius Marcellus, and Minamoto no Yoshiie. This three-week-long event will have players rally behind a new warrior each week, and take part in battles and challenges that will help boost their champions. Each battle will fuel the larger war between these mighty heroes, help them proceed through Battle Brackets, and lead to the finale that will see the warriors with the most Honour compete for ultimate supremacy.

The Reiter

This event introduces four new premium tanks, each designed to beautifully represent their champion.

  • The Reiter is a heavily armoured post-war era medium tank. Sporting thick armour and a high penetration ability, this tank can take full control of the frontline in the right hands.
  • Hatamoto is a Escalation era medium tank with an ATGM launcher and a 105MM gun. With a good deal of stealth (for a tank) it can take to the high ground quickly and deliver devastating damage.
  • Ruishi is an aggressively fast tier VIII tank destroyer that can deliver high penetration shots thanks to rocket boosters. It is capable of moving fast and hitting hard.
  • The Praetor is a tier IX Heavy tank with thick armour and incredibly adaptability. With a 10-degree gun depression, this tank can deliver massive damage from a greater angle.

Hatamoto

Ruishi

For the first time in World of Tanks Modern Armor, players can get these four warriors as Ultimate 2D Commanders with all 9 Skill slots + 30% XP boost through Warriors War Chests or earn Standard versions via Community Challenges. Players can also get the fully rendered 3D commander, Ulrich der Wieseljäger.

The Praetor

The Warriors event also sees the return of Letters of Gratitude, this time as WAR SEALS. These allow players to send rewards and encouragement to each other in order to better support their chosen champions.

Look out for the new Warriors event arriving 12th May for World of Tanks Modern Armor.
