It may not have set the domestic box office alight, with just $146.1 million to date, but thanks to strong international performance X-Men: Apocalypse has now crossed the $500 million mark worldwide, becoming only the third X-Men movie to do so.
The Bryan Singer-directed sequel pushed its cumulative gross to $510.1 million this weekend, with 72% of that figure coming from the international markets. However, it remains some distance behind franchise leader Deadpool, which has earned $780.5 million this year, along with Singer’s previous offering X-Men: Days of Future Past, which grossed $747.9 million back in 2014.

Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
