Keanu Reeves “would like to have played John Constantine again”

November 21, 2013 by admin

Having kept a low profile for the past couple of years, Keanu Reeves is set to return to the big screen this year with a couple of martial arts epics in 47 Ronin and Man of Tai Chi (the latter being his directorial debut), while The Matrix star is also keen to reprise his role as Ted Theodore Logan alongside Alex Winter for the long-rumoured Bill & Ted 3.

However, Ted isn’t the only character Reeves would like to take on again, with the actor revealing to Vanity Fair that, “I would like to have played John Constantine again. I liked playing that character and there seemed to be a way to continue that. That’s the only one that comes to mind.”

As it happens, Constantine looks like he could be an integral part of Warner Bros.’ plans for its roster of DC superheroes; he’s set to feature in his own TV pilot for NBC, while Guillermo del Toro also has plans to feature him as part of his proposed Justice League Dark movie, assuming it ever gets off the ground. So, it seems the chances of Reeves reprising the role from the 2005 movie are slim to none…
