Jason Momoa has a message for fans asking about Aquaman

August 14, 2014 by James Garcia

Jason Momoa has been heavily rumored for the part of Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice for months now, but has cleverly avoided confirming or denying his involvement in the film. At this point, it’s all but officially confirmed that he’ll play the Atlantean king not only in Batman v Superman, but the upcoming Justice League and Aquaman solo films as well.

Momoa took to Instagram today to give those constantly asking him about the role a message…

As you can see, it’s a clever iteration of the Batman Slapping Robin meme, and a clear indication that he’s getting a bit frustrated about this Aquaman business. For those unfamiliar, Road to Paloma is the actor’s directorial debut, which he also co-wrote, produced, and starred in. He’s likely a bit frustrated that every time he’s on a talk show or at a convention to talk about the film, he’s asked about Aquaman instead.

On one hand, the actor has to know that this kind of fan attention is part of the deal when you sign on the dotted line to play a beloved comic book character soon to be appearing in a multitude of tentpole blockbusters. On the other, it’s nice to see that Momoa at least has a sense of humor about it.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
