A couple of weeks ago it was revealed that Warner Bros. has been developing a live-action TV show based around the character of Superman’s cousin Kara Zor-El, and the project has wasted little time in finding itself a home, with TV Line reporting that CBS has given a series commitment to Supergirl.
According to the official logline, Supergirl will see 24-year-old Kara embracing the powers she shares with her famous cousin and become the hero she was meant to be, having hidden her abilities since escaping Krypton amid its destruction.
The Supergirl pilot has been written by Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash) and Ali Adler (No Ordinary Family), who will also executive produce the show.
